Want to support women in coffee? This limited lot comes from Friends of Mothers, a women-led collective founded in 2015. More than 500 members farm on the fertile slopes of Mount Elgon in Uganda’s Mbale District, producing coffee with care and purpose.
Processing: Each producer handpicks ripe cherries, sorts them carefully, and floats them to remove defects. Using their own micro-mills, they depulp, ferment, wash, and sun‑dry the coffee before delivering it to the Friends of Mothers warehouse.
Export & Quality: Friends of Mothers operates its own dry mill and fully staffed cupping lab, ensuring traceability and exceptional quality. The collective manages certification and trains farmers in organic best practices—turning coffee pulp into nutrient-rich fertilizer that boosts both yield and cup quality.
